Over the past 11 years, Suzie has lovingly restored Château de la Carrière, room by room, creating an eclectic mix of French elegance, unexpected treasures and plenty of personality.

Years of collecting antiques, vintage finds and pieces she simply fell in love with have transformed the ground floor into a series of wonderfully individual spaces. Nothing is too matching, nothing too serious — and that's exactly what makes it special!

A Room for Every Mood

Step into the Exotic Salon, filled with character and treasures from near and far. Then discover the Ladies' Salon, a more feminine space featuring fabulous pink basket chairs and a breathtaking crystal chandelier.

In the Dining Room, expect the unexpected — yes, there's even a zebra! It's where beautiful tables, delicious food and wonderful conversations come together.

And for a more relaxed moment, the Billiard Room offers comfortable seating, a television and the perfect spot to unwind after a day exploring the French countryside.

We've also recently added a guest kitchenette, where you can help yourself to tea, coffee and snacks whenever you fancy.

Whether you're curling up with a book, enjoying an afternoon drink or discovering another of Suzie's curious collections, the château's ground floor is yours to enjoy.
