Chateau Retreats and Classes

Over the summer months Suzie & Vin invite guests to join them to experience life in a French chateau and enjoy all things French. Here’s the program for this coming summer:-

Summer 2022 Program

French Country Chateau Cookery Retreats

        21 - 26 July 2022

        11 - 16 August 2022

This summer we have the talented Lovoni Walker www.freshhunger.com joining us who will be sharing her love and knowledge of French cooking.  With over 25 years of experience, Lovoni is passionate about fresh produce and we are super excited to have her at the chateau.

Designed to suit any level of cooking ability, you'll want to be part of what this retreat has to offer: rustic, simple cuisine using freshly picked produce from the chateau potager and orchard; eggs from the chateau hens and locally sourced ingredients.  You'll leave understanding the essence of French cooking and importance of growing some of your own food, shopping locally and eating seasonally. All instruction is in English.

All inclusive Price:

3,300 euro per person - solo room occupancy

2,950 euro per person - twin share room occupancy

Class numbers are limited.  To reserve your place please email us suzie@ourfrenchcountrychateau.com with your preferred date and the number of places required.  We will then provide you with the booking confirmation process and payment options.

 

COVID BOOKING POLICY - we understand the challenges of the current situation in regard to travel.  Should you not be able to attend the event due to Covid we will refund any monies paid (less 100 euro Admin fee) or transfer the booking to an alternative date.  For any non-covid cancellations our normal cancellation terms will apply - refer terms and conditions in the booking form.

 

French Country Chateau Food Styling + Composition + Recipe Writing Masterclass

       

          13 - 17 July 2022

Whether you are a food photographer, blogger, aspiring stylist or just wanting to explore a career in food, this interactive masterclass will transform your ability to create stunning food images, stand out from the crowd and learn how to attract more clients and followers.  All classes will be in English.

 

Lovoni Walker,  food stylist, cookbook author, food editor and tv cooking show host will share all the knowledge she has acquired during her illustrious career.  It will be hands on so you can find your unique style and composition.  Oh and did we mention you will be staying in the chateau and have full use of the grounds and pool. Private Bespoke Tours, Classes and Retreats (by private arrangement)

We can bespoke a stay or itinerary to suit your needs and interests. Minimum of 6 guests.  Options include:

  • Shopping for produce at the local markets, visiting local producers

  • French cooking classes

  • Food and photography masterclasses

  • Floral workshops

  • Learning  the art of French entertaining

  • Visiting local chateaux and historical properties and gardens

  • Enjoying lunches and dinners at local restaurants and bistros

  • Visiting antique and brocante markets

  • Visiting medieval villages and other local attractions

  • Exploring the chateau and grounds and learning about it’s history and future
