Experience life in the French countryside…..

It might have started life as a barn but now transformed into a luxury home that comfortably accommodates up to six people. Located in the rear garden with incredible views of the Chateau, gardens and surrounding countryside, guests will fall in love with the Guesthouse. With exposed beams and original features mixed with comfortable furnishings, you will find everything you need to make your stay memorable.

Accommodation consists of a spacious living/dining area with books, games, and music for days when you just want to chill out.  The large kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need to whip up a simple or gourmet meal with full-size fridge, oven, hotplates, microwave, dishwasher and Nespresso machine (coffee capsules provided).   We’ve stocked the pantry with some basic supplies and on arrival, you’ll find a basket of local and homemade goodies to enjoy during your stay. But if you don't feel like cooking you can also order from the chateau guesthouse menu.

The three bedrooms are generously proportioned with king size beds and European linen. All have en-suites - one with a bath.  Linen, toiletries, towels, robes, and hairdryers are provided and beds are made up prior to your arrival. Wake up each morning to the sound of the birds singing and the occasional cow grumbling if the farmer is late with their morning hay.

Guests, however, won’t have anything to grumble about as a daily breakfast basket is provided with fresh pastries/baguette, juice, homemade preserves, homemade granola, fresh fruit, milk, and yoghurt.

Outside you will find a pool, gym facilities, BBQ and outdoor entertaining area.  Try your hand at croquet, giant chess, boules, explore the chateau grounds or find a relaxing spot to while away the hours.

Explore the area with our suggested itineraries- maybe a spot of lunch at the loch restaurant or the Grand Hotel, visit an Abbey built in 1010, stroll the streets of Angers (known as little Paris),  cruise along the Mayenne or stock up on produce at the local market, indulge in some weekend brocanting, explore one of the many chateaus in the area or enjoy a round of golf at one of the nearby courses. Venture further afield to the Normandy beaches, Mont Saint Michel, St Malo the former pirate stronghold or the Loire Valley vineyards. We provide a guide giving you an insider’s view of our favourite spots, places we like to visit and things you won’t necessarily find in the tourist brochure. You will need to hire a car (booked in advance) from the local train stations at Le Mans, Laval or Angers.

However, you choose to spend your time your stay will be one you wont ever forget. If the owners are in residence you might even get a tour of the chateau itself and invitation for an aperitif on the terrace.
